Roundcube allows entries in an approval list, the following example is provided:
from nick\@example\.com
There is written that Roundcube uses Perl Regex. Is the "@" really a special character in Perl Regex, is it necessary to escape it?

JohnDoh

please could you explain what approval list you are referring to exactly?

After Login to UI, I go to :
CP Webmail Home | BoxTrapper | Sperr-/Zulassungs-/Ignorierliste bearbeiten|Zulassungsliste bearbeiten
There, it is mentioned, that the entries use Perl RegEx.

It looks like your provider BoxTrapper is using a plugin to add the functionality you are talking about to their installation of Roundcube. Please contact them for more information.

I see in Roundcube UI an informational text "cPanel". Could it be that BoxTrapper is handled by cPanel? And, if so. what is the relation between cPanel and Roundcube?

SKaero

Based on the path you gave to get to BoxTrapper "CP Webmail Home | BoxTrapper" that is most likely maintained by cPanel.

Roundcube is open source webmail client, cPanel uses Roundcube in there portal so you can view your email in the browser.
