Why can't I create a custom signature?

I have followed the procedure from Settings - Identities - Signature, but when I put in the text and click save I get a message saying "The form was not completely filled out" and it won't show my signature when I have tested it. I tick the html box. What is wrong?

It happened to me too.
I solved it by completing the form which is ABOVE the signature html box.
Simply put your name or whatever you want to appear as your name when you send an email and that will do the trick.
