Horde/IMP like features
« on: February 14, 2007, 04:36:40 PM »
There are some features I use in Horde/IMP that I would like to see in Roundcube. I setup Roundcube to see what it is like and I think it looks beautiful but it lacks a lot of features which makes me stay with Horde.

First, I think mail filters is needed. I know this has been mentioned on the forum but it is the first thing that I think this software needs. I need to be able to have filters automatically filter messages by content or header to specific mailboxes.

Second, a notepad would be very nice to have, just like the one in Horde. I would like to have the ability to store notes in various categories and since they would be in webmail I could access them on different computers - home and work.

Third, I would like to be able to change the order of the columns appearing in my mailbox. I would prefer to have the "from" field to the left of the "subject" field when viewing messages.

Fourth, is the ability to blacklist and whitelist and have HTML and images blocked and unblocked based on your whitelist and/or your address book.

Fifth, an integrated calendar that can synchronize with a Palm or pocket PC would be very helpful.

Sixth, a random generated signature. Say I have 10-20 different signatures. I would like to be able to have the chance to have Roundcube randomly put out a different signature for each message I write.

Seventh, ability to mark a message as important and have it be highlighted or stand out more.

That's all I can think of at this point. Nice work so far!

If only someone would adapt this such that it could be used on shared webhosting
