Charset Problem
« on: April 27, 2007, 08:03:16 AM »
Hi @all,

today we've encountered an encoding problem with 0.1beta2.

One of our customers has set his name in his preferences with a letter "è"
( ANSI Code hex : E8 )
in his name.
Sending the Mail is no problem, but they appear like this in the Outlook of the recipient :

"=?UTF-8?Q?d=C3=A8bug_ , ?="@server.domain.tld as sender.

To me it looks like the quoted-printable has the sender adress within.
The right line should be ( as far as I know ) : "=?UTF-8?Q?d=C3=A8bug_?="

In Tunderbird you can see the following in the header :

From: @domain.tld with no username ahead of the @.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks a lot !

Dirk

I have exactly the same problem with norwegian characters in the name of the sender. Anyone know how to fix this?
