Moving Roundcube to other server but all mail unread
« on: March 25, 2015, 06:18:17 PM »
Hello,

I have to move my Roundcube to a another server
Both servers are using ISPConfig on Ubuntu.

The old server is a Ubuntu 12.04 with Roundcube and the new one is using Ubuntu 14.04
Roundcube is using on the new server the latest version.

I follow the next steps:
1. Export Roundcube DB and import on the new server
2. Copy the mail folder (in my case /var/vmail/xxxx)
3. Set the user ID in the DB correct.
4. Change Owner for the email from root:root to vmail:vmail

When i logged in the email is there but all messages in all folders are marked as unread?

My Question is:
- Are my steps correct or do i missing some steps?
- How to migrate without marked all messages as unread?

Thanks for helping.

Not a roundcube issue.

Sounds like the IMAP servers on the old and new servers use a different method of flagging messages as read. You'll need to figure out what the difference is, or re-import the messages again using a tool such as imapsync.
