UI Multiple Transaction Speed - Data Loss?

If one undertakes an operation in the UI, say moving a message to trash, then immediately starts another transaction before the first one has indicated it is complete, will the first operation complete successfully or abort when the second transaction starts?

If it aborts, what state will the messages be in?
