Inbox display is adding linefeeds to message subjects in Chrome

In Chrome (Linux), unread emails with long subject lines are getting a line break after the Unread icon:



MS Edge for Linux also displays this behavior.  Shorter subject lines that don't require truncating to display are not affected.  Messages in Read status are not affected.  This is only in the Larry skin; the Elastic skin is not affected.

Firefox looks normal:



Is this an upstream Chromium glitch, or something that came in with my recent upgrade to Roundcube 1.6.1?

Addendum: I just upgraded to 1.6.2 and it is no different.
