Setting up Filters - Not working
« on: July 04, 2023, 07:27:06 AM »
I am new to roundcube, so I am probably making a very basic error, but I was hoping someone can help

I have set up numerous filters and enabled them, but they do not seem to be working

Most of my filters are very basic, e.g.

From: X@Y.com
To: My email address
Subject "contains" XYZ

Move to "Specific Folder"
Stop evaluating rules

However, none of these filters I have set up like this are working. Any advice at all?

Thanks,

Chris

For filters working you need something like dovecot-sieve and dovecot-managesieved. Are you setup this ?

I have the same problem, when I receive a spam email, I click create filter, choose from so it have the spammers email address **@**.com and then send to spam.

However I get constant emails still.

If some of your rules work - so that sieve work and problem not in server configuration.

Try see what header have message and check - it is really "from" what you see. Beacose spam message can hide really mail address.
