Old skins in 1.6.2
« on: September 09, 2023, 07:56:58 AM »
I just updated a fairly busy webmail server to Roundcube 1.6.2 after using 1.5 for the last 3 years. To my surprise, a few folks have complained that the theme layout has changed, and I can see that the Classic and Larry skins are no longer available. I had no idea anyone was still using them. The obvious Google result I have found says...

If you used the Larry or the Classic skin in your deployment, you need to install them manually, as they are no longer part of the release packages. They can easily be installed via Composer: $ composer require roundcube/larry

But when I try that there is nothing other than elastic in the skins folder and even though the config.inc.php is updated there is just an error when logging in. What is the "official" or best way to re-enable the previous skins in v1.6.2?

When I need the skins I download the skin from the repo and place it in the skins directory.
