Sharing address book entry to Global Address Book
« on: November 03, 2009, 03:40:02 AM »
Hi,
anyone who can advise how to share or incorporate the personal address into Global Address Book. right now all the contacts are for individually saved in rcmail. can we share the contacts table to all users. Basically we are using the rcmail+hmail for internal purpose only. therefore we need a GAB so everyone can send email by using the GAB.
regards,
riz1

have you tried the globaladdressbook plugin? and with the use of the contextmenu plugin you can copy contacts between address books.

is your globaladdressbook read only? if it is then you cant copy addresses to it, it not then right click on the contact name in the list and then copy to > global addressbook

i used an older version of contextmenu. now i see a contextmenu.
globaladdressbook is set to read-only=false.

but still in the contextmenu i find only the points
compose message to
edit contect
delete contact

but no entry and possibility to copy a contact. what goes wrong?

kind regards

Then I am out of ideas, you will have to take the plugin apart and see if you can see why it is not listed.
