HTML-encoded emails default to plain text editor
« on: January 14, 2010, 08:00:16 PM »
I too think there is a problem related to replying to HTML-encoded messages in version 0.3.1. If you open the HTML message, the "Editor Type" drop-down always has "Plain Text" selected, rather than HTML.

In my opinion, the Editor Type should reflect the format of the message as it was when the user opened it (unless explicitly overridden by user preferences), and if the user then explicitly changes the Editor Type to Plain Text, then this should also change the MIME type of the message.

I look forward to someone clarifying this issue for me.

Many thanks
Hal

My company is also interested in a implementation of the behavior described above.
We currently run RC 0.8.1.

Best Regards.

This is implemented in git version (future 1.0 release).
