I want to reopen this thread, because i have the same problem since update from 0.3.1 (from Ubuntu repository) to 0.4.2 (latest stable release).

Since this update everything works fine, excepting the html-composer.
If I answer to a html-EMail i only get the html-Code (no pretty-print) as simple text. The Toolbar for formatting and so is also not shown.

I've tried to set all *.sh and *.js-Files to executeable, but that hasn't any effect.

Have I done something wrong with the update?

Did you update the skin files? It sounds like it not loading the WYSIWYG at all.

Yes, I'd copied the skins/default-folder twice (I only have the default theme and I'am using it).

I also tried to change the .js-files to executeable.

I only get these errors:
Quote

but i think, that this erros hasn't any effect to the html-editor.

The error would be a client side problem so it won't show up in the error logs, does it work if you do a clean install?

I've tried a fresh install (copied all folders and config-files from the stable release [I've also tried the GPL-Release], leave the original configuration, excepting the MYSQL-Database which i left from my configuration).

But the html-editor never seemed to work - it's still the same problem.

During installation i only get the following error:
Quote
MDB2 Error: not found (-4): no RDBMS driver specified
Error connecting to database: MDB2 Error: not found

I don't think, that this has anything to do with the html-editor.

The installation-screen (http://server/roundcube/installer) said, that every dependency is installed and only displays the error according to the Code above.

There is another strange behavior:
If I compose a text-Message (by choosing "Text" in the dropdown-Menu on the bottom) I can write the message as usual (with linebreaks).
But the sent message looses every "newline"-character (only text-characters and spaces are shown).

I'd have to take a look at it to fine the problem, can you setup a test account?
