Setting up an Alias
« on: March 19, 2010, 07:53:39 PM »
Hi
Not sure if this has been asked before. I'd like to know how to set up an alias E-mail address that will go to my main address directly.

Can someone tell me how in really basic terms to do that

Not a Roundcube or other email client issue. That needs to be done on the actual mail server itself.

For example, if you are using sendmail you add the alias to the aliases file and run /sbin/newaliases.

This is not done in the email client (which is what Roundcube and other webmail applications are). It is done on the email server that actually receives your incoming messages. If you don't run your own email server, you need to have this done by your email provider.
