Sliding jQuery login panel
« on: May 05, 2010, 09:01:10 AM »
Hello all members!

I hope someone can help me.

I found very cool and sexy jQuery login system
and i'd like to integrate it with roundcubemail login.

A Cool Login System With PHP MySQL & jQuery | Tutorialzine demo

I want it on my roundcubemail login page.
I mean, If i slide down menu, then input my username and password and login to the roundcubemail.
Also, maybe there could be password reminder options via email.

Is it possible?
If yes, maybe someone with much more skills than me can explain me.

If you dont understand what i mean, i can try to explain in another way

thanks for your support!

PS! Sorry about my bad English!

You could implement the jQuery effect into a skin for RoundCube, A forgot password features could be done using a plugin.

Hi skaero!

Thanks for your quick reply!

I dont have many skills with implementing the jQuery effect into a RoundCube.
Maybe you are so nice and have some good exaples how and wich files i need to modify or change?

It is very cool menu in my opinion
when you can login to RC webmail from your homepage
not from http://www.mydomain.com/webmail or http://mail.mydomain.com/

Thanks for your support!

If you wanted to login from your main site you would need to setup the jQuery on your site and set the forum to send to RoundCube. You would also need to modify the auto logon plugin /trunk/plugins/autologon/autologon.php ? Roundcube Webmail to accept the forum data and log the user into RoundCube.

Hi skaero

Thanks for you quick reply!

Sorry, but i didn't get you... :(
I'm newbie on this stuff

I have setup Roundcubemail since v0.1alpha, today i have 0.4b it works fine.
and have setup the jQuery on my site, it works also.
Just I dont have skills on .php code.

Now i'm completely lost, don't know what or how next steps.

Maybe it is a little challenge to users who love Roundcubemail and this jQuery
and i hope someone can step-by-step explain how its done.

I just need slide down meny, put my username and password, and login to roundcubemail from that slide menu.
I don't need registration like on this example
