Help! Finding an attachment on my hard drive
« on: May 21, 2010, 11:42:27 AM »
Hello,

I downloaded an attachment from my RC email, and made several changes to the doc that I cannot now find.

When I initially downloaded it, I must've saved it into whatever default folder  RC default settings save it to. (Where?)

I have since been working ont he doc for several days now, just hitting "Ctrl S" to save.

I tried to email it back to my boss, attaching the doc I've been working on, but she said she received the OLD doc - WITHOUT the changes.

I've been trying to search my hard drive for the doc, but can't find at all.

Does anyone have a clue as to 1) where RC saves downloaded attachments by default? and 2) how I might be able to find my doc?

Thanks!
Sabena

1. RoundCube doesn't have a default saving location it is controlled by the browser. One way to find out where its save to is to try and download something and take note of where its trying to save it.

2. Try going to the application where you were working on the document and look for a "Recently open documents" menu (In Windows its most likely under "File")
