Update 0.3.1 to 0.4.1

I ran the update to 0.4.1 just a few minutes ago. I did it like described in the upgrade readme. After running all the sql i still get an error when trying to access the adressbook.

it says

SERVICE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE!

Error No. [500]

anybody else with the same problem? Does anybody know a solution?

Those are errors aren't the related to problem, but there should be new log entries for the problem. Check to make sure permissions on the log directory are correct. If you can't get the error log working then try changing the $rcmail_config['debug_level'] to 4 in /config/main.inc.php and post what errors show up when you go to the address book.

had no write rights on logfile.
Now i got these errors.

The mysql update didn't get done correctly try executing the code in the /SQL/mysql.update.sql manually.

By running the sql manually i get the following error

SQL query:

ALTER TABLE `contacts` ALTER `name` SET DEFAULT '';

Hmm, the contacts name field should be varchar(128) not text or blob. Try changing to varchar(128) and see if that makes it work.

Awesome help!

It finally works again!

Should 'email' also be varchar(128)
I set 'firstname', 'surname' and 'name' to varchar(128) and then i ran the sql and the adressbook works again.

Yes email should also be varchar(128).
