TLS Option Forces TCP Port 993
« on: November 10, 2011, 03:46:03 PM »
My mail server is running TLS on the default IMAP port of 143. I don't use IMAPs / SSL since it's considered legacy and has been replaced with TLSv1. For some reason when I place my incoming and outgoing mail server as tls://mail.*******.com, Roundcube attempts to use port 993 which is SSLv3. Does Roundcube not support TLS anymore? SSL or IMAPs is just over SSH where TLS runs on the default port of IMAP or SMTP. How can I get roundcube to use TLS on my mail server on port 143. Below is a screenshot showing my TLS entry and the error I get indicating it can't talk to my mail server on TCP 993. My server listens on 143, not 993.

Just an update...the testing process of the installer appears to have the problem ONLY. When I leave my config as is and login, I can login fine over TLS. The problem is the installer attempts to use TLS on port 993 which I understand to be SSLv1/2/3 (Legacy) and standard port is 993.
