New installation question

I went through all the steps of the installation and got as far the SMTP testing, when I received the following message:
SMTP send:  NOT OK(Connection failed: Failed to connect socket: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known)
I have no clue how to proceed from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is something wrong with your config on the SMTP (outgoing) mail server settings. Possibly a bad hostname, from the looks of it.
