Read receipt like gmail

I don't think that would be possible without a custom mail server since the read receipt just come in as emails.

 isnt there anyway for a script to recognize the incoming read receipts and put them into a special folder and show them like gmail attached to each related email ? surely with all the coding power this can be done with php ?

Its possible but it would add a fair bit of overhead and it would take a far bit of code to get to work.
