Hi,

does roundmail include imap idle support for providers that support it?
and if it does, will it use ajax or something else to update the webinterface?

yes, found that before. should have mentioned that.
also found the roundcube demo, the webinterface updates itself automatically but what method does it use in the background?
polling every x minutes?

Yes, there is a keep alive request every x minutes and it checks for mailbox updates.
