Novice: List columns help

I have a few different accounts I'm working with right now. One email address has it set up exactly how I wanted it. It was my first. Yay! I don't remember how I did it. I need someone to walk me through it please.
The GOOD List column (the one I want to keep):
Inbox: Subject Date, From
Settings: From/To, Sent date, descending
Sent: Subject, Date, To
Settings: From/To, Sent date, descending

The BAD list column (the one I want to change):
Inbox: Subject, Date, From
Settings: From/To, Sent date, descending
Sent: Subject, Date, From
Settings: From/To, Sent date, descending

I have changed the settings but for some reason, they do not stick. If I change it on the inbox, it changes in the sent box to match the inbox. This tells me it is PEBKAC, but I do not know how to edit. Please? Anyone?

Make sure you have set the special folder in the settings.

Okay, perhaps it just takes a few minutes for the settings to change over. I just checked the page I am trying to change and it is perfect! So, thank you!
