About roundcube architecture

Hi,

i think roundcube design is amazing. It has taken me around one month to half understand the overall idea (and learning new details very often).

Is this javascript, parte_template, ... structure a making of Thomas Bruederli or has he taken it from somewhere else?

I would appretiate an answer as i find it fascinating.
