smarty template

i think round cube should user smarty template system
it would be more simple to develop the plugin section is it right ?

This has been asked previously....

I see no problems with the current template system.... plus, templates don't control plugins

Smarty isn't installed with every server, and it could add bloat to that of an already growing application. I think what we have is adequate, just lacking in documentation.
