Is there any way to delete the urgly markup language in Skin template

I found the markup language  in Skin template realy ugly.

I am comparing afterlogic and roundcube, one good thing with roundcube is its good documentation, that make further development easier, but
I realy don't like the ugly markup language  in Skin template, I don't have any intrest to learn it just for round cube. And it replace many simple things in php with many markup expressions of roundcube itself.

It is very stupid to use such things in template.
