Roundcube with Hmailserver and MSSQL

hello, i got some few questions.
iÃ,´ve been trying to install hmailserver together with roundcube and mssql.
in my first try, i managed to get it all set up, but when surfing to localhost/roundcube, i always had the error "db error, connection failed".
so i decided to reinstall it all
i installed:

PHP 5.4.2.
mssql server 2005
hmailserver

to setup roundcube i used this site http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/wiki/Howto_Install
my db adress is as followed entered in db.inc mssql://user:[email protected]/SQLEXPRESS/roundcube

to setup php i followed these instructions http://www.peterguy.com/php/install_IIS6.html

to setup hmailserver i used http://www.hmailserver.com/documentation/?page=howto_install

iÃ,´m working with a windows 2003 server system, so my root device for web should be the wwwroot directory on C right?
at least when im typing localhost to my browser thats what i see, the structure of that folder.

if you need more informations feel free to ask, iÃ,´d just like to know how do i get roundcube accessible with my browser?

I tested these setup sometimes back in a vmware environment. But if I remember it right in IIS 6 manager go to the default site, right click it and go to properties and on the Directory Permission give read permission along with scripts. Now rename rouncube-x-xx folder to something like webmail or mail. If your PHP settings are setup correctly you should get the login screen by entering the following url in your browser http://localhost/mail or http:// domain name>/mail.

Alternatively you could place roundcube in some other place like d:\roundcube-x-xx and make an alias for it the default website in the IIS6 Manager. Read the IIS6 help file to find out how to do this.

Lastly, a more complex option will be put up a virtual directory pointing to roundcube-x-xx folder. Now setup IIS6 for this virtual server for something like mail.. And finally configure your DNS to point to mail.. And finally put a link in your main webpage pointing to mail..
Again, do some google or buy some good books on IIS6 as these steps for the these complex and required some in hand knowledge, if you want to avoid server problems in a later stage, when the load will increase as your email accounts increases.

after trying for 2 weeks with mssql, we just tried with mysql, and it worked in about 15 minutes, so this topic may be closed

just to let you know, i had to redo it with mssql, cause my boss said so, and it is working now.

installed hmailserver with mssql, and roundcube with mysql, everything works fine

if roundcube is able to work with mssql, i dont know, but who cares
