RC2: Error log full of database errors

Why does RC keep trying to insert the same messages over and over again into the messages cache? Every time a user loads his or her inbox, I get a bunch of messages like this:

 DB Error: DB Error: already exists Query: INSERT INTO messages (user_id, del, cache_key, created, idx, uid, subject, `from`, `to`, cc, date, size, headers, structure)

It doesn't seem to cause a problem,it is just filling up the log. Is there a problem? If so, how can I fix it?

I don't get this, A simply way would be to turn off message caching in the config.
