get Emails from RaoundCube via php API or other

Hi,
i'm newbie on this forum and i've a question:
I should the email list (and attachments) from roundcube via API or other..
The ragion is that  I need to import in my database all email to be managed by the staff, i'need of this functionality only read!!
I've tried to use the function imap_open of php, but i do not really like her...
