Many users with different profile settings but only one IMAP account

Hello,

is it possible to have different profiles/identities for one IMAP account? I don't think so because I have googled a lot.
But what would be the easiest way to achieve this? Modify the virtusers or virtual_user_mapping plugin?
By the way squirrelmail has 2 plugins to do this. But it lacks for individual IMAP flags - I also need this.

Roundcube has built in identity support under Settings -> Identities.

Lets speak about

a) settings which can be changed via web panel
b) settings which can be set only via config.php
c) settings of plugins.

Thats a little bit poor information. As I have written I want to know how to change different settings.
Sender Identity settings can be changed I know that. This is about 1 % of settings available, am I wrong?
I mean all settings which are available in the settings web config and via settings config.php.
Furthermore added plugins will have settings too...

As I have googled a lot I didn't find the information yet.

I think we need to tweak roundcube or to create a plugin.

In this discussion I hope I get more input.

It sounds like you need separate Roundcube logins for each profile. I don't see any other way to allow every setting to be tracked.

If your IMAP server is Dovecot perhaps look at the shared folders.
