Workaround for disabled fsockopen()

Hello,

I would like to setup a RoundCube webmail on free server. Unfortunately the 2 free hosting servers I know have both disabled fsockopen() PHP function. Is there any workaround for this? I tried other webmail programs (v-webmail and NOCC) and they both work. So it should be possible to workaround this problem. Or do you know any free webhosting where I could run RoundCube Webmail?
