Rate Roundcube from 1-5

First of all, I would like to say a huge thanks to the developers. RoundCube really is one of the nicest looking and smooth applications I've ever used.

I voted 4, because I love it but would still like:

- sort by read/unread;
- be able to select several mails and mark as read/unread;
- perhaps a flag option;
- a calendar/agenda plug-in is pretty much essential
- the ability to import/export (mail/addresses etc)
- a more elaborate contacts/address book

get the above sorted and it would be a killer app. In it's current form, I think it's already killed Horde and Squirrelmail

I fild reoundcube very good just wish it come with some sortof forntend for procmail so not tech userse could set up there own mail filters.

I'm new to RoundCube and can say quite categorically that it is one of my favourite webmail applications.

I only started using it when my hosting provider made it available through cPanel, but I am very impressed by it's capabilities and have already started to use it in place of Horde / SquirrelMail and some other proprietory ones provided by my ISPs.

I look forward to the future releases being made available to me with some enhancements in functionality.

I would love:
-Theme chooser that includes themes made by generous users
-Import from .vcf cards
-More detailed address book
-Autofill of contacts when sending email (start to type a name, it fills in automatically or gives a choice based on what you typed so far)

But with this being 0.2 , I'm VERY impressed with it so far.  Thanks for killing Horde on my domain!

It took me a while (second attempt) to get everything configured, MySQL, PHP, etc...

I'm excited to try it out.

From a user perspective I'd definitely give it a 5. It works as i would expect it to work. And the UI is very clean and clear

On the other hand, as a developer I must say the code is a mess... I've been trying to cut through the jungle of code only to find that there are no easy Login interfaces to extend. Autoloader is too restricted and doesn't support Poor-Mans-Namespacing... A lot of comments are missing in-code

I really have to read into it before i know what it does... tear down every command and see WHY that function is used... and refer back to what is $r...

I am very willing to help as a developer to make Roundcube better for developers. Maybe a rewrite with compatability with Zend's namespace and interfaces, abstract classes ect...

My experience is that hack-and-slash code works great for small applications that don't need any extension, but as they grow and implement more features your just consuming more time trying to bust yourself through the code instead of abstracting the required classes.

I also read that jQuery is replacing the current Javascript 'framework'. That's a step in the good direction. jQuery is great for quickly do lot's of things. Including AJAX calls...

PS. This is just my oppinion, if other developers strongly disagree, please respond with some arguments why I would be wrong

For sure 5 out of 5 it's got a good beat and I can dance to it (American Bandstand reference for those to young to know!)

I really like the software I did have an issue initially getting it to connect to my IMAP Server.  To get it working I telnet'd into my IMAP from a cmd prompt locally and then all the sudden the connection was established, not sure what the issue was but it took care of itself.
