It certainly is a good, clear display, and updates neatly, better than squirrel.

But it would be nice if there was an easy way of importing my email address book from thunderbird.

** Do any of you know of a way to do that??

I use it as webmail; it's installed on my hosting server, inmotion hosting.

RoundCube can import Vcards, the MoreFunctionsForAddressBook (MoreFunctionsForAddressBook) Thunderbird plugin seams to allow you to export Vcards. I haven't tried it so there may be a easier way.

Best looking web interface I've seen.  Clean and functional.   5/5 from me.  Took me a while to get it working with IIS5 (bug in IIS5 does not allow php post unless the document name is specified).  Had to change some of the files because I kept getting 405 Errors.  Now it's working great and fast!  Using the password plugin that came with RC.  Added Rosali's conextmenu and archive button.  Superb!!

easy to install, easily configured, use of plugins is fairly easy, clean UI.

There are some missing features I'd like but I can hold off since I've read some plugins are coming.

Other "webmail" products are complex, held together with string and bubble gum.  I've spent days trying to get SquirrelMail and Horde working.  Where as I had Roundcube up and running in less than 5 minutes (for each of their basic functions, that is sending and receiving email).

After doing /build update_versions i updated all the software including roundcube Now, after running ./build versions i get:Latest version of RoundCube webmail: 0.3-stable Installed version of RoundCube webmail: 0.3 RoundCube webmail 0.3 to 0.3-stable update is available.Should i ignore that? But i believe i'll be emailed constantly because i have update available from cron?

I would rate it a high 4 close to 5.

octfonrouge

It has to gain more popularity..so 4/5 only..

4/5

- Features
- Themes

The limited of what is listed above keep it from getting a 5.

frankiedog

I'd give roundcube a 4/5 I guess. I use it for my website e-mail and it's better than any of the other default options on hostagator at least.

bagu

4/5 advanced adress book with group support and cvs/ldiff import/export is needed to get 5/5
