Setting the folder to BLUE in the Classic theme for recent emails is a nice touch.

How does the 'check_recent' work on the Roundcube server side? I tracked the behavior in the client javascript. I see the check_recent.inc file and it is not clear how that is working. Is it using the /Recent flag or is it keeping a local cache that it updates and reports when a new email comes in?

I am curious how it works. I am not looking to change anything.
