Double Migration suggestions,.

I am currently using Roundcube V1.3.5 for services hosted on MediaTemple.

I am moving all of my hosting to "Dreamhost".

Logically, it's also a worthwhile time to upgrade from V1.3.5 to latest V1.4.11

Questions are - what is the best approach for this. I have heard that I should backup the source (Mediatemple) - how do I do that.

Secondly, does it make more sense to migrate that backup to the new service and restore or... I have also seen somewhere that migrating Imap from server to server is often best done, but setting up both (one with a different id), and dragging and dropping from a client.

Any pointers or warnings...
