lost over 3000 mail

between June and October we lost a lot of mail is there any shortage or bug happen during those months ? is there a way to recover

What if we can't reach the service provider? Our provider appears to have closed down and we can no longer access our emails through the site we usually use. We have found another way in but all our data bases have been lost.
