Hello all, I've just got RC mail up and running and I'm feeling very l337. But..

In the personal settings page, the link to folders doesn't seem to do anything, or sometimes I get

SERVICE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE!

Error No. [0x01F4]

this is on a linux (I don't know what distro) server.

I have some folders that appear in my mail view.  I can see them on the server in my /mail folder as invisible .files, but I'm not completely sure how they got there. As you can see I really don't know much about how a mail server works. Is there any way of changing them from within RC mail? Otherwise, if I just create the a new ".foo" folder in my /mail dir will rc mail see it?

I'd have a go but I really don't want to break my email.

have you checked the rc error log ([rc root]/logs/errors) is there anything in there about why you get this message?
