fix sorting by date and check mail

1. when sorting by date it just seems to sort into a random order making it impossible to sort through everything!

2. when checking for mail it takes a lot of moving around folders until they actually show up.

I think these are pretty major issues to get fixed before adding new features but thats just my opinion!  great client otherwise.
