IMAP Error: Could not connect to webmail.simplistsims.co.uk at port 143

hi all,

I moved to a dedicated server today with windows server 2003 and plesk. I setup roundcube correctly with the databases etc but i get this error when i try to login:

IMAP Error: Could not connect to mail.simplistsims.co.uk at port 143: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

im sure mail.simplistsims.co.uk is correct cause th mX entry is that

Here are some tips :

Q : Is mail.simplistsims.co.uk your server where RC runs ?

If Answer = True :
 - Make sure you installed an IMAP server (I recommend dovecot is you don't have one yet)
 - Make sure you installed a SMTP server (for outgoing and incoming mail) Postfix is good for that.
 - try replacing mail.simplistsims.co.uk by localhost in config file

If Answer = False :
 - Did you already managed to connect to this server with any mail client using IMAP ?
 - Check firewall settings

ive tried using Outlook Express to access the IMAP server and it still has the same problem. Im am going to check if this server has IMAP and if it doesnt ill ask the hosts to install it.

i dont my server has IMAP and SMTP installed cause i went into Horde and i can access my email via POP3 but not IMAP so ill contact the host today asking them to install it.
